The Department of Fair Employment and Housing is the state agency charged with enforcing California’s civil rights laws. The mission of the DFEH is to protect the people of California from unlawful discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations and from hate violence and human trafficking:

New York:

The New York State Division for Human Rights ensures that every individual has an equal opportunity to participate fully in the economic, cultural and intellectual life of the State. It investigates claims of sexual harassment throughout NYS.

The New York City Commission on Human Rights investigates and prosecutes complaints of sexual harassment in New York City.
