Anti-Sexual Harassment Resources


The United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigates claims of sexual harassment in workplaces throughout the US.

You can also sue in state or federal court.



The Department of Fair Employment and Housing is the state agency charged with enforcing California’s civil rights laws. The mission of the DFEH is to protect the people of California from unlawful discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations and from hate violence and human trafficking:


New York:

The New York State Division for Human Rights ensures that every individual has an equal opportunity to participate fully in the economic, cultural and intellectual life of the State. It investigates claims of sexual harassment throughout NYS.



The New York City Commission on Human Rights investigates and prosecutes complaints of sexual harassment in New York City.



Although not required to file a complaint with your employer, the New York State Division of Human Rights or New York City Human Rights Commission and/or the EEOC, an attorney can be helpful in determining your best strategy going forward and negotiating on your behalf with your employer.
